Symons & Co
Symons & Co has been running since the middle of last century. Originally run by the Symons family as a giftware agency for a wide
variety of products over the decades. The development of the On the Nose reading glasses range saw the development of a manufacturing
and wholesaling business which dominated and took over from the giftware agency business. New owners in 2007 solidified this direction
to the point that Symons and Co only works in and around the optical industry, as designer, wholesaler, retailer and supplier of
services.
Optical Design
Despite having our own unique sense of style, colour and fashion, so much of Australia's fashion eyewear is imported "as is" from
Europe, America and sometimes even China. Designing frames, cases and accessories with an Australian flavour is what makes
products from Symons and Co (On the Nose being just the first) different.
Wholesaling
On the Nose is principally a wholesaler of optical products (reading glasses, sunglasses, sunreaders, cases, chains and other accessories)
to bricks and mortar and online retailers. Dealing with pharmacy, giftware, optical, book and stationery, hardware, boating
and homewares stores all around the country, On the Nose glasses are easy to spot with their distinctive white stands and designer

Online Retail
Selling online is a growth channel for retail. Symons and Co currently has two direct brands online (onthenose.com.au & reading-glasses.com.au)
as well as selling through ebay. Expect more online services to come in the next year..
